Background

I was the lead designer during the pitch and acquisition of this account which held the responsibilities of art direction on internal digital and print signage as well as (tv and radio) media spots, print publication, website design, and app design. I was completely dedicated to the success of this account, learning new skills and producing a wide breadth of design digital media.

Reviving the brand

Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino is located in Eagle Pass, Texas, on the Kickapoo Reservation. It’s known as the only Casino in Texas. To spin off that Texas grit with a little casino flair, Come & Play has been a common phrase in Southwest Texas. Keeping the brand as authentic as possible was most important to us — sticking to the roots of the Kickapoo Tribe.

Art direction required many hats on a limited budget. I captured and edited this photo that was used in many print ads published in the South Texas region.

Promotions

Main promotions differed every month with the main theme around a season or a holiday. Under limited time, I managed to collaborate with cross-functional roles to get perspective on the design as we iterate on concepts. The ideation process begins with loose sketching and word lists, to higher fidelity visuals, storyboarding, copywriting, and print and digital promotions. All TV spots were produced by GeoMedia.
